Found in the middle of nowhere near Susanville, California, this piece of petrified wood waited millions of years to be picked up and polished. This particular tree's yearly growth can be seen in the rings that give this stone such a striking pattern. The freeform conical face was shaped and polished by hand before being set within a frame of silver. A round bale connects the pendant to its chain.

Petrified wood is the fossilized remains of ancient trees. Over time, the biological material of the tree decays and is replaced with minerals such as silica, calcite, pyrite or opal.
